    Trained Production Worker

    SUMMARY: Trained Production Workers report to the Operations Manager until assigned to a Business Unit Team.  Once assigned to a Business Unit Team, the Trained Production Worker will report to the Business Unit Leader (BUL) for management issues and Business Unit Lead (BULe) for time issues and job assignment.  Trained Production Workers are fully trained to the assigned team’s requirements and shall be responsible and accountable for all work performed.  Trained Production Workers shall work a minimum of 40 hours/week on a schedule as set by the assigned team’s BUL.  Note:  Production workers include assemblers as well as inspectors.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work assigned tasks as designated by the assigned team BUL and BULe.  In cases of conflict, the BUL direction shall take precedence.
    • Attendance and punctuality are required for all manufacturing employees to meet the requirements of the Employee Manual.  Schedules shall be set by assigned team BUL. 
    • Positive attitude and contribution to positive work environment.
    • Mentoring and stamping for assigned Temporary and Un-Trained Production workers.  This will involve on-the-job training of these workers and accountability for work performed under Trained Production Workers stamp.
    • Working without direct supervision when necessary.
    • Working productively, minimizing waste and un-productive actions.
    • Maintaining of <2% Unplanned Events over monthly periods. 


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
    None

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

    • Work is normally performed in a climate controlled production environment.
    • Limited physical effort is required.  Employees may not lift over 40 pounds unassisted or any amount under 40 pounds due to employee’s physical limitations.
    • Dyslexic workers are not able to perform required work and shall be assigned to non-production work.


    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Employment is contingent upon passing of vision test.
    • Employment is contingent upon passing of substance abuse testing.
    • Adherence to Company and Quality Manual Requirements.
    Untrained Production Worker

    SUMMARY: Untrained Full-Time Production Workers report to the Operations Manager upon hiring and until assigned to a Business Unit Team.  Once assigned to a Business Unit Team, the Untrained Full-Time Production Worker will report to the Business Unit Leader (BUL) for management issues and Business Unit Lead (BULe) for time issues and job assignment.  Untrained Full-Time Production Workers are only able to work under a Trained Production Worker’s stamp for a maximum period of 6 months from the date of employment.  Untrained Full-Time Production Workers shall work a minimum of 40 hours/week on a schedule as set by the assigned team’s BUL.  Note:  Production workers include assemblers as well as inspectors.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Training as deemed necessary by assigned team BUL shall be successfully accomplished within a 6 month period from date of employment.  Failure to complete training within the 6 month period shall be cause for immediate dismissal prior to the 6 month anniversary of employment.
